How Do We Pick and Notify Winners?

SweepsLoot is a 100% free-to-join and free-to-play sweepstakes website. We love award cash and prizes to SweepsLooters, so we hope you’ll join us and enter to win often.

Each and every SweepsLoot prize has a start and end date. The end date determines when the giveaway actually expires, after which time we pick and notify the winner. The length of time of a specific giveaway is determined by several factors, including prize value, time-of-year and the other prizes available on the site. When you enter to win, make note of the expiration date of each giveaway, so that you can track and check to see if you’re a winner. If you don’t check, we will notify you via email, so it’s also helpful to know when a sweepstakes ends so that you can check your email the day after to see if you’re the winner.

We use a 3rd party to select all winners. All winners are picked randomly and once a winner is selected we send out a “Winner Notification” email to the winning party. That email can only go to the email submitted at time of entry, making it really, really important to use a valid, active email address every time you enter to win.

(One of the saddest parts of working at SweepsLoot is when we don’t hear back from a Winner Notification email. Most of the time the winner has either used an email address they don’t check or they may use an email address that is not actually their email account. In either case, we end up with an unclaimed winner and that makes us sad.)

If you receive a Winner Notification email, please reply to verify your information and accept the prize. You will have a few choices on how to get the prize to you, likely the option to accept payment via an Amazon Gift Card, a PayPal deposit or in some cases we can mail you a check. If you win an actual prize we can also arrange to get the prize to you.

The fastest and safest way to get a prize is to opt for the PayPal or Amazon option. Those payments usually go out the next business day and are electronically deposited to your account.

Best of luck!
